GOTHIC:
1. noting or pertaining to a style of literature characterized by a gloomy setting, grotesque, mysterious, or violent events, and an atmosphere of degeneration and decay

WEIRDNESS:
1. involving or suggesting the supernatural; unearthly or uncanny
2. fantastic; bizarre

This is GOTHIC WEIRDNESS, your community for submitting, critiquing, or just enjoying strange and unique creative efforts, be they stories, poems, photos, whatever. Member input of any kind highly encouraged!

RULES:
Let's keep this simple. Post what you want. The general idea is "gothic" or "weird" (think Halloween-type stuff) but really just about anything is fine. This a community for creative expression, but since I'm the mod and like dark, quirky stuff, that's the slant I'm putting on it, but it's really a completely arbitrary rule.

Common sense: Long posts, NSFW posts, use a cut, and a warning in the case of NSFW stuff. That's just polite.

If you're submitting something you didn't create, please credit the original artist if at all possible. If it's yours and you didn't put it here and don't want it here, let me ([personal profile] dorian_thorn) know and I'll take care of it.

Lastly, comments/critiques are fine and encouraged, but let's keep things in the frame of mind of "constructive criticism". Snarking and flaming your fellow artists is frowned upon. Strongly.

All that said, welcome, and enjoy!
